Brand New “Daisy” Samples Bertrand Brown
The new album “Daisy” by the band Brand New starts off with an amazing sample on the first track “Vices.” It’s from the gospel hymn “On Life’s Highway” by Bertrand Brown but unfortunately this song is impossible to find on its own. The song is interrupted by the actual album which is interesting in its own right, but then concluded at the end of “Daisy.” I decided to cut up the brand new album and re-edit the song together. Here you go:

Orcas
“A whale of any sort in your dream is a sign of protection and help and if you see the flukes of his tail you will have much good luck. To dream of an orca, also known as a killer whale, shows the dreamer is not sure of the motives of his/her protector. Isadora/Here comes the nerdcore post.
WARNING: this is the nerdiest most geeky tech talk post I’ve ever written on here so beware. You’ve been warned!!!!!
So tonight I built my first patch in Isadora for this NYU production of Euripides’ Trojan Women I’m working on. This is the beginnings of a patch which will run 3 different HD projections simultaneously with keyboard cues that can be operated by a Monkey! (or an undergrad ;)) The basics of Isadora are much easier to learn than the basics of Max/Msp, but I’m glad I put in the bootcamp time with Max first. Here is a super nerdcore screenshot of the patch.
Are they called patches in Isadora? No they are called “Scenes” and “Stages” and the objects are called “Actors.” heh heh. oh you silly artsy Isadora people. What happened to square box objects called “plur” and “brcosa”…those were so easy to remember.

Thanks to world66.com I generated a map which displays which states i’ve been to and which I have left to go. I would like to visit all of the US before I die. What’s next?!

Titter.com
So tonight while attempting to surf over to twitter.com I accidentally typed titter.com and much to my surprise, it’s not some sort of micro porn blogging but rather a site for female gamers. Titter.com is a very odd url choice for a website targeted at teenage girls who play video games although the site does host quite a few award winners in my book including my personal favorites: “pretty lawyer,” “dress up lady gaga” and “my fruit cup.” In the latter you simply dress up a cup with fruit beachside.

Fyf Fest 09 Photos Up
Fyf Fest 09 was one of the largest hipster picnics I’ve ever been to. I almost got crushed during lightning bolt’s brutal set, inhaled a jar full of dust while watching the Thermals and feared for everyone’s life during F*cked Up’s set in which “Pink Eyes” threatened to climb the 100 foot tall scaffolding and plunge all 300 pounds of his mass into the audience.
