Michael Jackson

CAPTAIN EO!
As a kid I really liked Michael Jackson. One time I put on a Michael Jackson mask, faux leather red jacket and white glove to perform “Smooth Criminal” in front of my entire Summer camp talent show. It’s too bad that he got a bit strange in his later life because I’ll always remember the Michael Jackson of the 1980’s. Thriller reminds me of my old house on Esther avenue in Los Angeles where I grew up from ages 2-12. It was the first cassette I ever owned and I still remember the day I went to the Century City mall to buy it. I listened to it so much that the tape snapped and I had to save another ten dollars in order to return to the music store and purchase a replacement cassette. In the end I think I bought Thriller three times and Bad at least twice. To commemorate the passing of MJ we are having an event tomorrow night at the Odessa Bar in the East Village. Here is the facebook invite : Michael Jackson Night at Odessa

This weekend I shot a short film entitled “anniversary” on my iphone starring Danielle Lee.
Here it is.

I has new Iphone 3gs: I has no service.
Video is an important part of my life. When Apple announced that the new Iphone would have a video camera, I practically vlogged in my pants. Today I called the Soho store expecting that the iPhone 3gs would be sold out by 4pm, but to my surprise it was not. To further my surprise, once I got to the store there was basically no line. It took me about twenty minutes and I had the new 32 gb white video iphone in my hands. However what I didn’t get (and what I still don’t have) is any sort of cellular service! AT&T managed to disable my old iPhone but somehow forgot to activate my new one. So now I have a video camera, but no phone. I’m not sure if this is better or worse.
